In 1982, Khornak's first book, Fashion:2001, was published by Viking Press. With interviews and photographs of top fashion designers, the book also showcased a garment created by each designer that presented his or her vision for 2001. Burnishing her reputation as a photographer, Fashion: 2001 took her on a book tour where she appeared on over 80 radio and TV talk shows across the country. Her next work, Fashion Photography, A Professional Approach, remains a highly successful and definitive "how-to". A third, The Nude, published in 1993, explored black and white photography of the human figure.
